Our house

Heidi and Georg Dörfler look back to many years as innkeepers. In 1974 they came to Kahl, where they first took the inn „Hubertus“ at lake Freigericht West. In 1979 they changed to the „Jägerklause“, and in 1993 they reconstructed this well known guest house to the current Hotel Dörfler.

Looking at the rooms there wasn’t skimped on space. Next to the reception you find a quaint and cosy bar with 20 seats. The breakfast room offers seats for 40 guests.

Using mainly timber for ceilings and walls, combined with matching furniture, the house has an alpine touch which may evoke lots of holiday memories. The hotel’s location makes sure that the guests won’t be bothered by noise of all kind.

If you fancy a walk – the meadows and paths along the river Main aren’t far away. You can easily leave your car at the hotel, there are enough slots. In the summer, swimming pools at the nearby forest lake and camp site invite for refreshing.

Son Alexander follows in his parent’s footsteps. After training and work years in high-class catering locally and abroad, he took the hotel in 2001 and has been running it till today.
